Frequently asked questions.
The questions our team answers most often. If yours is not here, the fastest route is a message rather than an email.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to a wide range of destinations, and the checkout will confirm whether your basket can be delivered to your address before you pay. Import duty and local taxes are set by your own customs authority and are not collected by us.
Oversized items such as large amps and heavy cases may be UK-only.
Can I collect from the store?
Yes. Choose collection at checkout and we will email you when the order is ready. Bring your confirmation, and photo identification if someone else is picking it up on your behalf.
We are happy to hold a collection order for a reasonable period — just tell us if you need longer.
Do you set instruments up before shipping?
Every new guitar and bass is checked over and adjusted to our standard specification before it leaves, so it plays properly out of the box. If you would like a specific string gauge, action height or tuning, add a note to your order and our workshop will set it that way.
Setup preferences are recorded against your order, so a second purchase can match the first.
Can I part-exchange my old instrument?
Yes. Send us photographs and a short description, including any marks or repairs, and we will give you an indicative figure. The final offer is confirmed when we see the instrument in person.
Part-exchange value can be put against anything in the shop or taken as a credit note. We cannot offer cash for used instruments.
Do you offer lessons?
We run group and one-to-one lessons in guitar, violin, drums and vocals from our workshop, covering complete beginners through to graded exams and gigging players.
Places are booked by phone or by message rather than through the site, so we can talk about your level and what you want to get out of it first.
How do I contact a human?
Phone us during opening hours, send a message using the button in the corner of every page, or write through the contact form. We answer messages during shop hours and usually within one working day.
For anything about an existing order, please have the order number to hand — it saves a round trip.
Is there a warranty on used instruments?
Used and second-hand instruments carry our own 90-day warranty covering mechanical and electrical faults, alongside your statutory rights. Wear parts such as strings, frets and valves are excluded.
Anything we know about a used instrument's history or previous repairs is written on the item's page before you buy it.
