The cookies this site sets, what each one is for, and how to get rid of them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. It is how a site remembers anything between one page view and the next — in our case, mostly which basket belongs to you.
The cookies we set
We set one essential cookie: an anonymous session token that identifies your basket, and later your order history. It is marked httpOnly so no script on the page can read it, and it holds no personal information.
We also store your light or dark theme preference so the site does not flash the wrong colours on every visit.
Analytics
We record anonymous page views and product interactions — which products are viewed, which are added to a basket — to understand how the shop is used. These events are tied to a session, not to a name or email address, and they are aggregated into daily totals.
A session token is only linked to your details if you place an order, and only for the purpose of fulfilling and supporting that order.
Third parties
Payments are handled by our payment provider, and video embedded from YouTube or Vimeo is served by those platforms, which may set their own cookies when a video plays. We do not embed advertising or social tracking pixels.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you see and delete the cookies a site has stored, and block them for the future. Blocking our session cookie will mean your basket cannot survive a page change, so the shop will not work properly.
Deleting cookies is also the way to end an anonymous session early; your order history stays available to us for support purposes either way.
